What factors will affect the accuracy of three-coordinate measurement

2022-04-29

Since many products have very high requirements on accuracy, the manufacturers of these products will also try their best to improve the accuracy of the workpiece, and the three-coordinate equipment is an effective measuring device, which can accurately measure the workpiece. , thereby improving the overall accuracy and quality of the product. However, some factors will affect the measurement accuracy of the three-coordinate equipment, let's take a look.
1. Temperature changes

Since the temperature has a great influence on the measurement accuracy of the three-coordinate equipment, if a relatively constant temperature cannot be maintained in the computer room, the measurement accuracy will deviate when the climate changes suddenly or the seasons change. This is an error caused by the difference between the grating temperature and the gauge block temperature. If it is found that there is an error, the temperature correction coefficient can be used to correct it.

2. Compensation documents

The compensation file is a compensation file generated after detecting the position, straightness and angle error of the measuring machine using a dual-frequency laser interferometer. The measurement software performs error compensation according to the compensation file. However, some operators did not install the compensation file when installing the measuring machine software, or lost the backup file, which caused the poor accuracy of the CMM and affected the accuracy of the re-calibration machine. , in order to avoid the influence of this error, it is necessary to keep the backup file and install the compensation file correctly.

3. Probe calibration

The purpose of the accuracy probe calibration is to correct the diameter of the ruby ball of the probe rod, so as to correct the probe at the measurement point and obtain the positional relationship of different probe positions. The errors generated during the probe calibration will all be added to the measurement. . If the probe calibration is incorrect or inaccurate, it will also affect the measurement accuracy of the three-coordinate equipment.

It can be seen that many factors will cause the measurement accuracy of the three-coordinate to change. Therefore, in order to obtain more accurate measurement results, you must maintain a relatively stable ambient temperature when using the three-coordinate measuring equipment or use the correct temperature correction factor to correct it, in addition, the compensation file and correction must be installed correctly.
